Hi peeps, well fingers crossed my lorry driving career starts soon!! Just wonder if someone can clarify something for me. What it is I’ve done module 1,2 and 3 of my psv cpc, can I do module 4 and 5 lgv to gain my qualification or do I have to start a fresh? Cheers for any help…
you talking about drivers cpc or operators cpc.
if you have mod 1 2 & 3 then you dont have a full national cpc as it is mods 1,3 & 5 for PCV. the rules have changed over operator CPC’s Diesel Dave will no doubt be about soon he is very up to speed on the Drivers and Operators CPC’s

just drivers cpc. When I did my class 1 I got told by my instructor that one cpc would cover both psv and lgv, and the driver trainer at my old job told me same, but at my new place driving trucks the traffic manager told me I need a new lgv cpc by 2014!!
Yeah, he would be right you will need 35 hours training by Sept 2014, which will last until 2019. your bus one will run out in sept 13 next year.
It is not hard to get hours in Peter Smythe on here is an approved trainer he will know more and I think he can do a weeks course for you but i can assume it will get harder the closer to the time required as loads of drivers still need to do it.
