Hi guys,

I’m meant to be starting a new job Monday at PRS, the air freight company in Colnbrook near Slough. I’ve been given a postcode which corresponds to their main office on Blackthorne Road, Poyle, but been told to go to site 2 which is near the “Golden Cross pub”. I’ve looked that up and Golden Cross isn’t a pub but the big BP/Ketfuels station in Colnbrook. Anyone been to the site and can give me better directions?

I’d say it’s probably head office you’re to go to, that’s right near the pub I linked

the Golden X is a pub but is currently undergoing repairs due to fire.
PRS site 2, they keep most of their trucks there, if coming off M25 Jnc 14 head towards Poyle ie away from the airport, go past the dhl hub to the roundabout at the end, turn through the gates that are first exit off the roundabout (not a proper road ). Go straight down to the security gates and ring the buzzer or call the office to be let in.
For head office turn right at above roundabout, right at next roundabout. follow down past bakery the road swings left then right, take the right into Blackthorne Crescent. follow down til you see UPS on the left turn right PRS is second unit on left.
I know a few guys in the office there, so should be an ok job.

Been a while since I frequented those pastures doing air freight, but seem to recall they had a place in viscount industrial estate.

Thanks. I know the gate you’re talking about now (I’ve been to Poyle many times but not had to go through there). Funny how Golden Cross is used for two separate landmarks at two opposite corners of Colnbrook.
