Provisional question

was looking at my licence the other day and noticed there are no dates behind C+E.

Do I need to apply for a provisional again before I can do my C+E training and test?

nvm did some googling and found that I do :S sometimes I hate the UK and this silly provisional licence bullocks.

Thanks,

Davy.

check your provisional entitlements online - bet you find CE there

When you get the page with your categories scroll down to see provisionals

Were you looking at the photocard of the counterpart. Provisonal entitlements are only shown on the counterpart.

If you were issued with a counterpart because they have stopped issuing them recently

I did get the counterpart as I am in NI and if UK has stopped giving out the counterpart it will be a while before NI will stop giving them out ( at least 10 years behind time with the rest of Europe  )

It’s at home so will have to check tonight

Just to proof my point :unamused: :unamused: :

"Find out which vehicles you can drive, penalty points and when your licence expires.

You can’t use this service:

if your licence was issued in Northern Ireland
to check the progress of a licence application"

if your licence was issued in Northern Ireland then you need to call the DVLNI

ADD - I think NI are still issuing counterparts so if that is the case then what does it say on yours?

I thought they stopped the counterpart too, but just got mine back this morning and it came with the counterpart

There was some talk about suspending the end of the counterpart until a system is brought in place for businesses to do licence checks but I am not certain …

I think it is June or July they are looking at now.

Edited 8th June
