Are you after any work, or would rather tipper work. Are you looking for day work or are you up for nights away.
Hauliers in Felixstowe are crying out for drivers, but you may need to call. Just google Felixstowe hauliers and start ringing
Norfolk wages are poor, I live in Norfolk, but work for hauliers not based in Norfolk because off this, but it does mean I have stop out all week. Jack Richards are near Me, but they are low payers, and other general hauliers in the area have followed their lead
Most jobs seem to be agency in Norfolk! Even Jack Richards! I live 3 miles from their yard in Fakenham and refuse to work for them…
I work for a haulier in Dereham (12 miles away) and away all week most weeks
Take home is similar to what I was earning in London
be worth your while taking a drive out down near the dock gates at felixstowe theres lots of signs up on fences at the roundabouts with numbers of firms who want drivers right now bring a notepad
Cheers for all your replies when some of you lads mentioned Norfolk wages being poor how poor exactly , I’ve noticed lots of bulk tipping companies based up in Norfolk are wages better in Suffolk! I wouldn’t be interested lying out all week done far to much of that when I was younger in my early 20’s . what sort of money are tipper drivers getting in Norfolk Suffolk I shall have a Google on felixstowe hauliers …
If you want tipper work then the sugar beet harvest starts next month until March and an awful lot of the stuff grows in the area, three out of the four sugar factories are in Norfolk and Suffolk.
Foulgers, Stennetts, Roger Warnes, Richard Long, Goodings, Pearn Wyatt and Walpoles to name but a few of the hauliers.
Pearn and Wyatt are farmers and there hard people to work for I’ve seen there trucks Around Norfolk trouble with bulk tipping you would be out All week I’ve had Enough of that over the years and harvest work is full on , and bulk tipping is tonnage work which result in high loads and being flat out All day any ideas what sort of money there Paying I’ve seen jobs online for bulker drivers and the hourly rate is ■■■■■ 10:00 hour and they where based in Norfolk and Suffolk cheers
Terry Seaman Transport near Beccles were looking for bulk drivers
Spandler@gt Yarmouth pay roughly £29.5k p.a for 60hrs p.w. o/t available, which gets you to about £36k p.a working usual small firm/general haulage hours

That sounds good mate, I travel to Peterborough every week from North Norfolk, the wages over there are a different league compared to most Norfolk hauliers. I didn’t realise that there were any good payers left in Norfolk so I’ve stopped looking close to home
As we’ve both mentioned, JR’s are rubbish, I’m led to believe that they gave away more than a £1 an hour, in offer of a £10 a day meal allowance. Whoever negotiated that wants shooting IMO

It was £1.20 an hour and you had to be away from base for 10 hours to qualify. If you did less then it was £5. I don’t think there are any good payers in Norfolk.
Bolton bros had an advert for class 1 on their gate at blakenham yesterday. Not exactly tipper or grab, but should open the right doors

Its even worse than I thought. Along with taking 45mins a day for breaks, and 90mins if you do a 10hr drive. Apparently they are one of the best, it says so on the back off the trailers
They did start paying for second break, probably because no one liked sitting somewhere on the Fens for 45 mins and not getting paid for it.
They also seemed to have a preference for using agency drivers rather than their own employees.

When I need to look for a new HGV job I use the Yellow Pages ( or Yell.com ), Indeed website and Jobcentre plus website,
I hope this will help you with your new venture and good luck.
Happy Days.
Jack Richards have just had a pay rise, the money isn’t as bad as people are making out although you do get deducted 45 minutes each day which I found ridiculous as it was the first company I’d worked for that did this. Another thing that puts people off is working every other Saturday but they do have pretty much every combination of hour’s that you could possibly work like 4 on 4 off, nights, Tuesday-Saturday, Friday- Wednesday etc to suit how you want to work.
I now work for a farmer on walking floors, left alone, money is very good in my opinion. There are some pretty good jobs up here if you are prepared to look.
The money maybe isn’t as high as in London but the cost of property up here is cheaper and so are rents. It costs me about £400-500 a month less in rent than it would of cost me if I’d stayed in West Sussex and I earn more now than I would be earning if id stayed at Maritime without the pressure and stress and the running in most weeks on a Saturday.
