I put it on my 920T. Lots of info, bridges, keyfuels etc but half of them appear to be completely wrong .
I don’t trust it entirely. I have heard good things about the Snooper. I might give one of those a whirl soon.

Hi

I phoned HGV solution my self about this product, what this is it work as POI on route and worn you about bridges ect. , the think is you can connect to tomtom home and download this for free just search in add traffic, voice’s ect and type “HGV”, download and instal, when you plan your route will not divert you around them but what you can do is browse your route and see if there is any thing that will be a problem like low bridge and then plan your route via different street, calling to HGV solution there reason why don’t divert you is because you may want to delivery to address where is 7.5t limit so my view is why pay them £54 when you can get this for free trust me I drive around in london and it will worn you about bridges ect, you just need to set up you tomtom. When you download go in to your tomtom and search for POI show them on map and choose option warn when near POI then you can choose how far in front should warn you you can put 10 miles or 10 yards.

Hi,

Have recently bought Procab and a bit dissapointed with it. Prior to buying
it I downloaded the low bridge/weight limit POI’s from TomTom site and
I cannot see much difference for the cost. As mentioned you can browse your
route to see any HGV restrictions but it won’t plan your route to avoid them. I
have it set up to warn of restrictions on route at 1200yds but it warns me of
weight limits which are not on my route. There are lots of 7.5t limits I have
passed which are not shown. I have not had it long so there may be some
settings I havent got quite right yet but with hindsight wish I had not bothered

Tkanx it was a gr8 help. i downloaded bridge heights ,weight restrictions and other hgv info gems put into 500 yard warning job done. thanx again to all who responded

There is something else what’s call Truck maps and I’m trying to get any member of this forum to help me out how to install this soon as I have any responde I will let you know.

What it looks like to my is that there is no currant system that work for HGV’s, I’m using this POI’s but looking in too paper map and just reading the sign’s on road and I think that is the safe option, but it would be nice just to see how this truck maps work.

there’s plenty of info on here just do a search fot tomtom truck, it’s the best thing since sliced bread and free!

As has been said above this is just a collection of POI files being sold at a premium price.

Avoid !!

Get the Tomtom Truck maps which will provide true truck navigation.

If you’re happy to dig in and mess about then you’ll find hacked versions of the truck maps online. All you need is a TT unit that can take an SD card.

If you want to do it legit then buy them. They used to be available on an SD card for £120 but I can’t find an up to date sales link for this. I’d contact Tomtom Work for more info: tomtomwork.com/

A product like Procab will just warn you when you’re near a hazard. This is better than nothing. The proper truck maps will plan your route around any hazards so once you’ve planned your route there are no more worries. I use them truck maps all the time and although they’re not perfect, they do a far superior job to a normal satnav.
