Printout for a weekly rest infringement

Hi. I recieved a weekly rest infringement from the 2 week period from 07-04-25 (didnt realise it had to be a continuous rest of 45 hrs, silly me)

How do i do a printout for this? Is it 14 days worth of printouts? Thank you

A printout for what exactly? There’s no requirement to do a printout if you receive an infringement. You can certainly do a printout to explain why you made a particular error, but I don’t see the necessity in this situation.

Im sure you have to do printouts for your infringements and write behind them the reason and keep them as records on ourselves for 28 days?

I often recommend doing printouts to explain the reason for a mistake that led to an infringement you’re going to get, however in this case it sounds like there was no explanation that would excuse the mistake and given that it happened nearly a month ago and you’ve already had the infringement notice it’s a bit late to try to explain what went wrong

Presumably you had a reduced weekly rest period when you never had one available ?

As @maoster and @tachograph have said, now is not the time to do a printout.
Do one when you are in a situation when you are about to break the rules in an emergency situation or just after you have done so.
It shows you are aware of the rules and explains why you need to break the rules.

Yep, i had 2 weeks of reduced rest, 2 in a row. I didn’t realise i had to do ‘continues’ rest of 45 hrs. Guessing i don’t need a printout for that as i dont have an excuse

That makes sense, thanks for the replies guys

This is basic 1.01 stuff. May I suggest doing the EU drivers hours CPC module as soon as possible if you don’t know this? What else are you not sure about? Do you know that if you do more than 13hrs duty even if you take 11hrs off it’s still a reduced daily rest?

Yeah true, I’ll brush up on it. Didn’t know that, thanks for that

When you have a 45 spanning two fixed weeks, that can count to the week ahead meaning you can sometimes have two reduced rests before another 45. Also if doing euro and abroad.

I had this not long ago , in the end the company said it was too late to rectify it , but to have 2 days off unpaid , I did .
Strange thing is I asked to sign the infringement when I came back to work & I hadn’t got one , even the office had no answer as to why I’d not got a infringement
Just have 2 days off , go out on motorbike or down the pub etc .

That’s good advice…
bike or pub…not ..bike and pub.,
