Hello,
Has anybody any photos of the Scammells and Leyland that worked from Diss tar works. I worked for Diss Engineers in the 1960 who were part of the group and worked on many of their lorries. I would love a photo of their Highwayman driven by Mr Panks. Anglian Petroliam were also part of the group and also looking for photos of their lorries. Thanks

This is me in 1987 in a 1978 Octopus, I worked seasonally at the Hertford depot
The Scammel was driven by “Titner” Bloomfield and the weighbridge was used by Fridged Freight for certificates to plate home-built trailers in the early 70’s. Sorry, no photos, except FF ones. I heard titner passed away a couple of years ago - if so - RIP feller. - A likeable Rascal. Jim.
Sorry disslorry. The Scammel Titner drove was a Routemaster. The Hywayman must have been earlier. Jim.
Hello chaps
Sorry to but in with your conversation but I have a little brain teaser for you all at Printar Industries in Hertford.
Do any of you remember a small boy riding his bike to meet his dad from work most nights back in the late 70’s. I’ll give you a clue in as much his dad was a bulk driver and the first registration plate I can remember is ONO506P which was a AEC Mandator 32 tonne artic.
As I say, sorry to but in but I didn’t realise that you guys were on this website.
Hi Everyone, Just inquiring if any body remembers a Roy Brown at Printar Industries Hertford during 70’s and 80’s, he passed away 2 weeks ago and I am trying to piece together some history to his time there.
