Prince Harry, what a silly little boy

The news headlines are blasting out that Prince Harry killed Taliban while in an Apache chopper during his latest tour in Afghanistan well I am thinking perhaps someone should
have reminded the Press and Harry that a substantial number of Taliban and supporters live, exist in Londonistan.Night clubbing in an Apache for Royal safety reasons, cool.

perhaps, the londonistans need to remember that Harry always has armed police watching him regardless of what we think he is 2nd to the throne …

Who cares if the talli gets Harry or Harry gets the Talli?

Either way another waste of space is got rid of.

Good on him. I have the utmost respect for him. Takes after his dad  All joking aside, this guy is a legend. A proper ‘man’. He doesn’t have to do what he does, he could just go around the world on royal tours. Fair play to him.

Well if they start on the Royal family, They’ll be a huge change in imigration and deportation policy.
So not too bad really.

What’s this thread got to do with trucks?

typical, so your quite happy for another soldier to be killed because you think he is a waste of space? doesnt matter what family he came from the lad has had the balls to serve in afghan not once but twice. he may be a waste of space to you but i respect that he has done what many fellow country men have done and served their country.

He was asked had he fired on any Taliban? What was he gonna say? Nah, we all gave them a big cuddle.

This is what he did say: “Yeah, so lots of people have. The squadron’s been out here. Everyone’s fired a certain amount,” he said.“If there’s people trying to do bad stuff to our guys, then we’ll take them out of the game.”

My step son is out there now, and even if the smallest bit of shrapnel from one of Harry’s missiles took out someone who was taking aim at him then I will be eternally grateful.

Personally I think Harry is in a no win situation. The press demand answers, and when he gives them he’s called a silly little boy. He may be a Royal and he may be getting extra protection, but he’s still flying an Apache in the most dangerous place on this planet and that takes balls.

Would you do it?

Not doing yourself well in the popularity stakes here bking, lot’s of ex squaddies on here.

Sapper

He’s a soldier. More specifically, he’s a gunner in an attack helicopter.

It’s his job to wreck things and kill people. He’s been doing his job.Don’t criticise him for it. If you don’t agree he should have been doing it criticise the politicians and civil service who decided to send our army to that country in the first place.Criticising an individual soldier for the army’s involvement in Afghanistan is like blaming the driver of a sugar tanker for making people fat.

And bear in mind the Taliban swore to kill him as soon as he arrived in Afghanistan. Not a fight I’d have picked, if I were them.

Whatever we might thing of the UK’s involvement in Afghanistan, the Taliban are not good people and they do not wish us well. They have never wished us well, not even before 9/11.

The question we should be asking is who created them? And the shameful answer is: The United States of America, because they stupidly thought the Taliban would fight the USSR and not the USA.

I wonder if this knowledge is lost. The US and UK armed and supported various insurgent groups in the Arab Spring: I wonder if those who we trained and armed will turn on us at some point?

Well said Pete, he also gets my respect although I think this latest press statement will make him even more of a target for the Fundamentalist nutters of this world.

And as for Burgerking, watch this thread go down the pan with his usual Bollox

Do you not think the Taliban deserve some respect,They fight and die for their beliefs and they dont come home to fanfares and silly bloody newspaper headlines. What about the over 3 thousand American,German,French,Dutch,Polish soildiers that have lost their lives in this futile conflict?
Should we all celebrate because some “royal” playing in a bloody helicopter comes home.
The time to celebrate is when everybody can go home.

I like Harry , he could have taken the easier route and sat in the shadows , he’s done more for this country than lorry driving …

I like the fact he still had fun like the rest of us and in a round about way gives a frank answer to a crappy question …

What ever he dose good or bad there’s going to be critics …

I think he’s 3 to the throne soon to be forth …

It appears that the point you are trying to make has gone way over the heads of some contributors to the discussion.

i dont agree with the royal family , however i do respect the lad and the many others( my niece for one) that have put their lives on the line , regardless of the politics behind it . however i think in the interest of both his own safety and of those around him he needs to learn a new word …“discretion”
