can anyone help me with an idea of how much to add to the milage rate for covering french road tolls, i have been asked to cover some work for this area but havent got a clue what to add, i would like to price it with milage rate plus tolls but the company want just a milage rate, thanks
@Jeep go on to the French toll site and get what they
would charge you for the toll used, add then this to what you would charge
them a mile //kilometresay
just as an example 120p for 1km distance, 1000kms =1200Pounds
plus
a 70€ toll for 100kms/miles= 70€ (70POUNDS) TO ADD on to your
mileage charge
which MAKES IT if I am right 7P on to the 120p=127P a Mile/Km
hope thats understandable,
what ever extra costs add to the rate, ,the above is just an example

We charge 29 cent per km in Germany
Here are 2 examples of what i paid this week
Saint maurice- Dole A36 133km 34,70€
Villefranche(lyon)- Chalon sth A6 122km 29,30€
Last week i loaded in St Malo and tipped in Marseille about 1200km and got down there for 112,70€ using a lot of nationals and losing about 2 hours and i dont think i would have got down there for under 320€ using the motorways
Its Quite easy to spend 700€ per week on french motorways its expensive!!!
i drive about 8000 -10000 km per month in france but using the good nationals keep it down to about 1000€ a month
Driving in Northen france is cheaper than in the south(more free motorways and better Nationals)

have to agree with gbtrans on this, if you can try to do your route’s on national roads, there is a time penalty but it will keep your costs down. You could get a toll box for the peages, we have them and we do get a little discount by using it.
