Prestolite Starter Motors

Hi All,

had a lorry break down last night and it was diagnosed as a starter motor, only one i could get hold of this morning was a prestolite, i have never heard of these before and was wondering if anybody knew what sort of quality they were?

Prestolite now supply electricals formerly sold under the Brand names Butec, CAV and Lucas. If you want something elderly like a U6 Axial starter motor it will be a Prestolite.
