Premier Inn lorry question

I was following one of their artics the other morning and was wondering where do they deliver to ? If it’s premier inns then what do they deliver? beds, food. Unfortunately we parted company at Taunton so don’t know where he went afterwards.

Anyone shed any light on the subject.

Bed Linen, food,Suppiles basically everything associated with premier inn…apart from the staff, they drive themselves in.

Clean bedding and towels etc at a guess - and take away the dirty stuff for laundering.

I’d have thought the food would have been supplied by the likes Bidvest, 3663 etc etc as most or all premier inns are attached to pubs.

I think they are all fridge trailers delivering to the restaurants that share the same sites as the premier inns. A lot of trunking to regional warehousing overnight and urban trailers to the sites. I did night trunks to Bellshill and Wellingborough on agency many years ago out of Trafford Park. It is Whitbread who also do the Costa Coffee runs.

All the Premier Inn trucks I’ve seen at my local hotel are 17 tonners, not sure what they’re delivering though. It could also be a Wincanton or DHL truck (or whoever does their work) simply done up in their customers livery and may not be actually going to a Premier Inn.
I used to drive for NFT years ago and regularly pulled a trailer with Ski yogurt written all over it, probably never had a pot of Ski near it. I also remember Stobarts used to have trailers done up in Pepsi livery.

Yes the Premier Inn livery is more of an advertisement for the Whitbread group… I only moved food for them on fridges. Possibly the linen is done by specialist contractors.

I think you could be right there.

I seem to remember delivering food to the kitchens at Killington Lake services on the way back from Bellshill one night too… more group trade I suppose.
