I am trying to phone round to get idea of prices,some training companys are including cpc some are asking for fee on top of training but out of them all I would rather go with ctts just because they’re reputation is good but I have to pay for the full 35hrs periodic cpc Is there some sort of guidlines to gaining cpc during training or can they do what they want?.

I ask because you say on top of training which leads me to believe you are going for either C or CE training … ?

Sorry I’m going for class c,I passed my car test in 1992 so will need 35 hrs before Sept,but trying to get it included with training and test so I don’t have to fork out.

This is an important question. Did you pass the car test before or after 1st Jan 97 ?
If you require periodic training there are some trainers that have the approval enabling them to provide it at the same time as the actual driver training in 7 hour blocks or 3.5hrs each day for 2 consecutive days.
If you require the initial CPC you will have to take the 2 exams known as Module 2 and Module 4.
Some people don’t require CPC at all, ie for driving personal horseboxes.
Basically with regard to the trainers they are free to either include it in the course or not. I know that Peter Smythe now includes either flavour of CPC free of charge with all his courses. That is an offer it would be hard to equal anywhere.

Just for clarity, we’re in both Mansfield and Peterborough. The stupidly low price offer in Peterborough does apply to bookings made and deposits received by 5pm tomorrow. But we will continue to include driver cpc with all our full courses at both locations.

The price will be all inclusive unless it states + VAT
The total price for C or CE including VAT, test fee, accommodation (if more than 70 miles away) and driver cpc is £1000 at Peterborough. Our standard price of £1350 applies to our very old established site at Mansfield.
The Peterborough offer ends today but £150 deposit secures the course to be taken any time this year.
The offer will not be extended.
We are approved to deliver cpc as part of the LGV driving courses. The balance of the 35 hours can be taken at either of our centres at times to suit.
