PPE

As Juddian & Nick say, boots are important.

An employer will probably only buy cheap, which are probably going to be heavy and clumsy.
It seems with safety footwear, the more you pay the lighter they seem to get!

58% pay increase! I need this in my life, you will either be on mega money or they are currently paying you peanuts :stuck_out_tongue:

Cheers guys

PPE. ■■■■ Poor Effort.

I know it stands for this because my school report said it for every lesson.

when you’ve had a job or two you build up a collection of ppe. if you’re just starting out and its your first interview/assessment i would advise you to buy some boots and a cheap pair of gloves. as for the hi viz, you could get away with going there without one, they always have a loner for any assessments and i have always been given one for when i started. thats how my collection built up.

as has been said i would avoid the boots they say they will give you for a tenner, they are always like divers boots that dont last 5 minutes.

I have to buy my own boots as very few places stock or can get my size also have own gloves & hi viz ( again size ) but don’t have a company name etc on back of mine just plain

Like to have my own gloves as well but I do have this on my tax code as well as you can if you have to supply your PPE tax code goes up you pay less tax
