i was asked to do a collection from a company in jedburgh today,21 pallets for germany.as the freight was not going to be ready till 14.00hrs i decided to leave the depot at 12 noon.so off i sets M8 onto A720 then A68 all the way into jedburgh.now if you ain’t been on the A68 then to let you know that this is one of the best roads you will get any where,very nice to drive on.the only thing that spoil’s it is the speed camera’s every 2-3 miles plus the odd cop car parked up for added measure.so there’s me steady 50mph weather is very nice and having a nice drive with no major hold ups apart from the odd cornish rolls royce ( tractor).as i’m coming through one of the villages i notice a powerhouse truck waiting to enter the A68 as i had traffic on my tail i could not slow down to let him out.so i carry’s on.goes over the r/abt and the vehicle’s behind me all went off the other way and the only vehicle behind me was powerhouse.it was mostly single carriageway going down this part off the road with solid white line,but on the otherside of the road was two lanes so as the faster vehicles could pass as it was uphill.as we started to go down this hill the powerhouse guy decides to overtake me and did not care about the solid white line,as he past me i looked into the cab and the porter was looking up into my cab,i just looked at him shaking my head.and away he went.why he did it who knows,as 200yards further on he would have been clear to pass.he done it again but this time it was 2 tractors and he just made it past the 2nd tractor.some guy’s are so desperate to deliver white goods,as if it’s life and death.as long as it’s their life and their death then that’s fine,but usually it’s someone else that suffer’s.

very good dave ,now go and mix some more cement,then bury yourself in it 
Yet another story involving a 7.5t (I presume), no wonder they get a bad reputation when they drive like this. Its a shame for the drivers of these vehicles who are professional.
