still cant find out how to get the thing working its 300w when you put it in the 12v it starts then goes off i asume its drawing excess power from the socket so how do i get round it ?

No its a 12 volt
You will need to wire a new feed from the fuse box for it rather than use the exsisting socket which is probably only rated at 5 amps in your Daf, the one in my Daf is 5 amps. I have a24 volt, 300 watt inverter plugged into the 24v socket here and it’s fine as the 24 v socket is rated at 15 amps.
If its a new inverter maybe its faulty if not id go for 24v instead they seen more reliable. i got a 300w 24v off ebay for £38 about 12 months ago.
