YES ITS AS THEY SAY …THE JOB ITS SELF IS FINE ITS THE MANAGERS THAT KNACK THE JOB UP
IN THERE ATTEMPT TO CUT DOWN SPENDING THAY SAID THAT THE DRIVERS WHERE ON TOO MUCH OVER TIME SO THEY PUT US ALL ON A FOUR DAY WEEK SO WE HAD TO PICK A DAY OFF PER WEEK SO THAT TWO TO THREE DRIVES WERE OFF PER DAY.
SO NOW WE CAN ONLY GET BETWEEN 40 AND 44 HOURS A WEEK AS THEY DONT WANT US DOING OVER TIME, AND THEN THEY GET AGENCY IN TO COVER OUR DAY OFF.
JUST RECENTLY THEY TRIED TO STOP THE OVER TIME RATE ALLTOGETHER AND JUST PAY US A FLAT HOURLY RATE STRAIGHT THROUGH UNTIL A LOAD OF DRIVERS LEFT.
LAST YEAR THEY TOOK OUR TIME AND HALF OFF US FOR BANK HOLIDAYS SO THAT IS NOW SINGLE RATE AS WELL.
SO YOUVER GOT PEOPLE WHO WANT TO GO IN AND DO THE JOB BUT THEY DONT WANT TO PAYE YOU FOR DOING IT IF ITS GOING TO TAKE YOU MORE THAN 40 HOURS TO DO IT.
IF YOU WANT TO EARN A DECENT WAGE FOR WHAT YOU DOING DONT GO TO POUNDWORLD BECAUSE 40 HOURS 4DAYS IS ALL YOU,LL GET

Yes its as they say …the job its self is fine its the managers that knack the job up

In there attempt to cut down spending thay said that the drivers where on too much over time so they put us all on a four day week so we had to pick a day off per week so that two to three drives were off per day.

So now we can only get between 40 and 44 hours a week as they dont want us doing over time, and then they get agency in to cover our day off.

Just recently they tried to stop the over time rate alltogether and just pay us a flat hourly rate straight through until a load of drivers left.

Last year they took our time and half off us for bank holidays so that is now single rate as well.

So youver got people who want to go in and do the job but they dont want to paye you for doing it if its going to take you more than 40 hours to do it.

If you want to earn a decent wage for what you doing dont go to poundworld because 40 hours 4days is all you,ll get

Sounds like they need a decent transport union. Still, a jobs a job, may suit some people down to the ground only doing 40 odd hours a week.

Do they not do a staff discount . this may help supplement the wage and if the drivers are only doing 40-44 hours per week. look at the time you could shop till you drop. :grimacing:
