What’s the score with this place? I’ve tipped there twice, spent HOURS and HOURS there both times, but have never seen a poundstretcher trailer go in or out or any even parked up on bays or anywhere on their site…
Is it some kind of secret service deal…
i’ve heard 1 of our Class 2 recently departed drivers has got a job there.can’t leave the yard 'till 7am apparently,because of planning…so perhaps everyone is out delivering!
Makes sense. Either way you go to access the site you go through a sleepy village. I imagine the locals weren’t best pleased when they put notice up that a large RDC was going in between them. Bet the objections were “strong” to say the least.
They are part of Crown Crest who were and may still be in Leicester City centre. They were a pain there as well. They also had another site which was in one end and out the other and tipped in strict order of arrival. Can’t recall the location.

Used to collect from Crown Crest in Leicester for poundland it wasn’t far from Samworth brothers,a right PITA to get in and out of,as said 1 in and 1 out,half load 1 place then " oh just drive round the other side for the other half load…err really".
Pallets of ambrosia rice pudding if I remember rightly lol.

I used to deliver the Ambrosia along with other products from Premier Foods.

That’ll be the same locals who bought their country piles right next to Mallory Park race circuit and then devoted their time to closing it!

I loved the pub that never shut there but I hated the circuit as much as it hated me. I won a lot of races there but I also broke more bones there than any other track in Europe. I always said that if I won the lottery I’d buy the place and concrete it over!

You can’t concrete over gerards,100 on entry and 120 a few inches from the tarmac on the exit . Best corner in the country or was 
Yeah, right up until the moment you catch a slower rider and have to cross the Godawful overbanding to pass him!
