After 8 years in the military and picking up my Class 1 + 2 & ADR, I’m currently working for a logistics company in the warehouse and loading trailers but looking at getting into the driving side of things.
Before I look at getting CPC done, realistically having little to no experience (apart from the tests) with driving HGVs what are my best options when it comes to looking for work?
Whats a realistic salary for a new driver?
Any suggestions on companies would be a great help.
Where abouts in the UK are you ?
Agencies seem to vary from branch to branch so might be a bit hit or miss
Did you drive in the military, surely that would count as experience?

As for getting work, you just sign up with a load of lying scumbags like the rest of us, and get the same rate as the rest of us. The only possible difference is that you’re probably not going to get put forward to that agencies best clients until you’ve proven yourself.
