Just had an assessment with potential employer… Started at 7 and went with another driver 80 miles to drop the load off. When truck was unloaded I took over and drove it to another place to swap trailers and then back to yard. Was struggling a bit on reverse, but apart from that was ok. Now have to wait till “later this afternoon” for a phonecall… I hate to wait…
Did the driver you went with tell you how you’d done ?
Driver said I was ok… I think I should be fine, but never know… I had to shunt 3 times to get truck onto bay, but he said, that all I need is to practice it a bit more… Now just have to wait for a phone…
I could officially confirm my new job. Will start on June 17th at 9am. I am excited and stressed at the same time. I’m ok to drive a truck with trailer, but reversing scares me a bit. Nevermind, will get my experience and next year will be better, lot better… Looking forward to it.
