Possible very Cushy job going Ruislip way . Need to be quick

I probably finished up today if all goes to plan. The job is unbelievably easy , I start work at 10.30 am and finish anywhere between 14.30 to 16.30 but on average just after 15.00. You’ll drive for about three hours total mostly motorway with about 45 minutes of throwing off about 400 mail bags ( you’ll always have someone with you) and then pick up some bags to bring back ( some heavy , but not serious) . It’s through an agency and they’re scumbags but you never get to deal with the after a few weeks . You’d need to get the level d security thing which to tell the truth you can’t fail , but it’ll cost you about £60 and a few hours of boredom. The money ain’t great , that’s why I’m leaving , it’s £9.50 ph and you get 40 hours , but very rarely overtime. But basically it’s a part time job, apart from Xmas you’d rarely go over 25 hours a week ,and five of them would bee sitting around doing f all. Pm if your interested as I haven’t officially left yet . You’d have to move fast though, the agency are looking for another driver , but most have left for higher rates . Would suit an active person nearing retirement down to the ground.

Oh it’s class two by the way , honestly it’ll be the easiest job you’ve ever done.

Why don’t you tell the agy why you’re leaving and see if they’ll up the money? If your username is any indication of your location I will bet that they’re already making a very healthy on you if you’re being paid those rates in your post. Agys will quite happily continue paying people minimum wage while ever the driver continues working for it.

What, like all those “local” Man Utd followers?

I did go in there a few weeks back asking for more money , theres a right old battle axe in there just scoffed and said your having a laugh . I’ve now sorted out something better , the only reason I stayed Is it’s a ten minute bike ride away and it’s just so easy( good. Bunch there as well on the whole) . But at the end of the day it’s all about the money , I’ve now hopefully increased mine a fair bit.

You’ve not done mine then.

Started at 8am, drove 2 mins to sit in a Iveco dealer car park for an hour waiting for a key to be coded, drove 2 mins to a customer, picked up, drove 2 mins to the customers new premises, dropped off, drove 2 mins to the yard, hopped in with the boss, went to a customer, came back, home for lunch at 1pm.

Tough life.

yeah but mine is every day , not once in a while . Used to be we’d have a spare driver, so if you weren’t needed you’d go to sleep for a few hours, move one lorry of the loading bay and park up then you went home. Plus I notice you still done five hours? I hate them long shifts.

Sounds like heaven.

that’s why he left and is now recommending someone else goes

Same here pretty much. I’m rarely home later than 3pm after an 8am start. Average finish time is 12-1. Been a bit busier this week, so it’s been 2pm on a couple of days.

Think my best was an 8am start and home by 9.30.

Thanks but now we have had an insight
into how you like to occupy yourself
during your spare time.

I wouldn’t like to inherit a steering wheel
from you.

And also it would mean living down sarf.

Am I missing something here? You’re clearly gloating how easy the job is and how short the days are… But then you’re leaving because the money is crap?? Well doing the hours you seem quite chuffed about no wonder the take home pay is crap, they also won’t pay you anymore as I’m sure they know how easy the job is to start with also.

hahaha . You’d be lucky , I’m not in the truck long enough to even consider watching Jodi West on xhamster. Can’t believe no ones interested in this. , yes the money is ■■■■, but honestly it’s got to be the easiest job in England . If my two kids had flown the roost I wouldn’t entertain the idea of leaving . As it happens I can afford to go out on a mad one one every six weeks or so. No fun it that , so ■■■■ it , I’ll work harder and longer during the week. , but have a lot more fun at the weekend. In the old days I’d have bit about living down Sarf , Infact I wAs so proud of London I wanted to call my son London, luckily er indoors objected , London is now a cess pit of people from every ■■■■ country going . Luckily my sons middle name is London rather than his first .
