Is there anywhere to park unit only in Porthmadog? I will be there 9am monday for a 24hr off TIA
What road/direction are you coming in from?

There are a couple of big off the road laybys on the a487 just after Maentwrog on tour right, no facilities but plenty of room and no traffic rocking your wagon with brilliant views.
In town your a bit limited unless you can park near the travelodge, but I’ve not stopped there.
If it’s just the Unit you should be able to get in the industrial estate near Lidl, go left at the roundabout from the high st towards Pwllheli.
I am jealous though, it’s my favourite part of the world, though I will be there on Thursday.

Yes it’s not too far. Not sure how quiet it is, not parked there but used to live relatively close.

There is a park about 10 miles away if that’s any good (not sure if in right direction though) an ind est close to town facilities at Pen y groes.
Was down here yesterday delivering to Huws Grey next to the Travelodge and I can say there is plenty of room on the industrial estate to park an artic. Lovely drive too I came down from Bangor through Caernarfon but I dropped a bollock coming back and came back up through Betws-Y-Coed and Blaenau Ffstiniog and as we used to deliver to a pet food company in Betws-Y-Coed I should’ve known how ■■■■ the roads are for HGVS around there. Stunning scenery though of Snowdonia National Park.
I often go the a5 but through Capel curig then the ogwen valley in an artic, not been brave enough to tackle the Llanberis pass

Use to do the Llanberis pass one or two times a week in a rigid, not done it in an artic yet and I don’t think I’ll be rushing to do it anytime soon either

I towed an artic up the pass that had a broken half shaft from the llanberis side up to the top .

I can’t see that being fun, I took a coach over it about 25 years ago, that wasn’t too bad until you meet another coming the other way, neither of us looked over the walls to see if it was clear ahead, tighty tighty squeezy
