I was travelling down the M6 yesterday and in need of diesel so decided to call into the Lymm truckstop to fill up (first (and last) time). Got my ticket at the barrier and pulled onto a pump. Not sure what to do so put the card into the reader on the island - nothing. Tried again, nothing so walked over to the office and handed the card over - “We dont take them any more” says the bloke behind the counter.
This is the first place I have ever known who don’t take the All Star card and one who I would never thought would refuse it. Anybody know why?
The attendant advised me to use the Total garage on the same site - the one proudly displaying the no trucks sign 
. No problems there
