Hi shady the letters are the ones I wanted to see the numbers if you can get them should confirm it.
Why are you keeping that pic of Kelvin -blackmail??
Do you ever see Gordon Knowlton? I posted on the Southampton thread some time ago and Pat said he thought he was working for Wyverns. I would have thought he would have long been retired.
Gavin
Kerbut…sorry dont have one of Pat…but who would want one of him anyway
Gavin…Didnt see Gordy’s Photo yet and yes he is working for Wyvern, possibly part time.
Who would pay to take Holloway’s photo off, nobody i dont think, but you could use it for Halloween.

The ECT Kenworth had reg:YHW564V.Main driver was Pete Akhed, who has sadly, passed away.It was originally purchased via the KW dealer in Switzerland(Keller) via Dandos of Chipping Sodbury. The engine a Detroit 8V92 had some problems. It was eventually sold to the Volvo dealer at Enfield, against a new F12.Last heard of,it was in the hands of repo men from Alliedf Irish Bank(minus engine!).
This info comes from Ian,who is well, and busy in The Middle East!
mappo:
Was this the Sean Moran that I met once in the Middle East, mid '70’s?
There was a gang of us pulling out of H4 in Jordan to cross the desert to Turaif in Saudi.I don’t think the others had crossed before and I had only done it once. This Sean Moran said,“Follow me,I’ll show you the way!”
Well you are always glad when an “Old sweat” offers some help aren’t you?
We must have dug up half the desert getting across and it’s never taken me as long before or since. We spent more time digging than driving!.After this I always went on my own,I can get lost by myself thanks!
I even had time to take some pics because I thought this would be a trip to remember. This ,ll be your man then. ( taken from another thread )
This was taken in my truck in Swiss .I had towed Sean’s Scania unit from Italy to Swiss for repair as there were no Scania dealers in Italy at the time. We were on SCA . I believe it was Lugano ?
Those curtains were factory fitted on a the new FIAT wagon n’ drag Italian reg front part .
Sean’s engine wasn’t working & towed down some steep mountains that day . This was before I found out the fatal flaw of that FIAT - It had no spring brakes! When you were out of air you had no brakes so the thing would just run away. Discovered this backing on to a boat & the air run out & the truck was saved only by the truck jamming on the ‘A’ bar. I left shortly after ;the run was regular UK Italy over the Blanc. Bottle went when the trailer jack-knifed on a wet down slope French side & the trailer threw the truck around like a kids toy ! I got out of it by pumping the brakes on & off until it straightened up but with the full knowledge that I was knocking out the air pressure .If the buzzer went off it was time to bail out because the thing was then in free-fall. I got back & jacked ,I liked to be in control of the truck & not the other way around ! LOL
