Pollen Filter?

Are trucks fitted with pollen filters for the cab ventilation like on cars?

What with the hayfever season about to start, just thought I’d ask…

Yes they are but if your place is anything like ours they never change them. If you have your own truck check it and it might be worth changing it yourself if they won’t and they don’t cost a lot.

If the truck you drive has climate control, then you want a new filter, at least once a year,
Alternatively wait till it (filter) collapses, gets ingested by the fan, fan sticks, bearing overheats, instant BBQ.

At least one advantage to the current shape DAF CF/XF is when you lift up the front its there right at head height directly in the middle of the truck, no cover or housing so you can pull it straight out no tools and you’re not having to go crawling around under the dash for it.

At the haulier my mate worked for they changed the pollen filters monthly. Annually is enough for most private cars erc though.

Pete.

Asking in advance really, as our truck is supposed to get changed this month. Not sure if it’ll be another MAN, or a DAF…
