Half a million, would see me mortgage free and enough to boost my pension pot to a position that meent I could just leave it to do its own thing for the next 15-20years or whenever I decided to cash it in, by the way at present rates you need £750000 to buy £25000 per anum pension.
Then it would be bye bye tramping, and just do enough for us to live on comfortbly. and in between what little paid work I can get away with, I would be able to do stuff that I want to do but dont have time for now.
Any more would be a bonus, meaning I’d need to earn less to put towards day to day living, giving more time to indulge myself
Not a great deal i dont think, house’s are paid and debt free as I stand/sit.
I would still work, whether I won £10k or £10m, doing what I dont know but I would get severely bored spunking around on the interest, theres only so many holidays before it becomes tedious, so working to achieve something, even if all the profit went to a charity rather than boost my own healthy pocket.
Plus I have gone to great measures to lessen my circle of friends for 1 reason or another to have a small circle of good friends, I dont want the old ‘friends’ knocking on my door if I won a shedload of cash.
I am happy where I live, I am happy where I drink, I can eat out when I want and enough hobbies and toys to keep me happy and in mischeif, with a load of money I will just go to dearer restaurant’s, drink in flashier bars, and buy dearer toys that i dont really need for my hobbies.
I’ve not worked out the exact costings but I’d need enough for breast implants, a ■■■■■ extension, 2 tonne of industrial vaseline and a small croft in Scotland, then I’d be truly happy.
Oh, and change left over to buy all my friends clogs.

I would like to win the lotto. £100k what make me mortgage free so I would be very happy and live a lot more comfy. however I think £1 mill + would mean retirement from driving and I can spead my days enjoying the kids more and following my hobbies while the kids are at school.
If I won the lotto the first thing I would do is take a 2 week holiday and really have a good think, as my life would change a lot, I would figure out what to do and how to do it and maybe who ( friends and family) I would help as they have helped me when I was down on my luck, i.e. being laid off for 3 years and becoming a singer father.
Just enough to live comfortably, buy a brand new car, nowt flashy, a Vauxhall Corsa VXR in Arden blue and buy a nice house…
Whether or not I’d give up working, probably not as I’d get bored
3 million to live off the interest and 2 million to spend on a big house, a nice car(or two) and just cos im nice a half million injection of cash into dad’s business to set him up for life.
