Ok, so there probably won’t be a General Election until Labour call one at the end of their term, unless a vote of confidence is called or Labour decide to call an early election. And if Starmer goes, who would be a better replacement to see them through till then?

heres the thing, if there is a ge there wont be a labour government again. the only way burnham can get in is if the labour party hold a vote of no confidence get rid of starmer and then dont hold a ge. Of course they wont do that it would be completely hypocritical after all the crap they gave the tories despite both may and johnson holding a ge after they got in and being voted in by the general populus
If and when Starmer goes, it will surely be like under the Tories? PM re-signs, new PM chosen?
And 1st of all Burnham has to be elected. Then challenge to be leader.

yes cameron resigned and may took over she then held a ge approx 6 months later.
same with johnson in 2019 he held one 4 months later. the only one that did was the last pm
