What is he on about?
What are the Human Rights supported by the EHCR that he says we do not want?

Ask him……cos whatever I say you are going to nit pick in your inimitable way.

I would by far trust his judgement and opinion more than I ever would yours suffice to say.

You put him up as spokesman. He says
“Increasingly, however, the ECHR appears more interested in forcing us to accept its interpretations of “rights” that we do not agree with”
But he does not say which human rights he does not want. So I am asking you.
Which human rights do you not agree with?

how about the ones that contravene our own laws as he says?

Which ones are they?

would you say our society is a tolerant one in general as live and let live. would you say that a child that is born here has the right to grow up in a safe environment. Would you agree that if i murdered someone i deserve to go to jail and if that means my children have to go into the foster system so what. In other words if i murdered someone should i get a smaller/lesser sentence because i have children to someone that doesnt?

Is that free verse? Is that a list of questions?
Are you trying to set up for an answer to my question about which ECHR human rights are not wanted by you? OK…I will play along.

Yes, that sounds reasonable.

All people (not just children) born anywhere (not just here) have a right to a safe environment.

99.999999% sure yes.

I would not say “so what”. Children should be looked after as well as possible.
Having a family is not a reason for criminals to escape just punishment.

If two people commit murder in the same circumstances, they should get equal sentences.
Having a family or not should make no difference to their respective sentences.

Again you know exactly…
Let’s start with the ones they allow foreign r4pists criminal foreign scum who are being prevented from being deported for stupid and illogical bloody excuses…the guy who r4ped his underage step daughter who was stopped from being deported because he would not have a family life.
Look I aint going to indulge you in displaying your obtuseness and apologist lefty ■■■■■■■■ any longer…google it yourself, I am tired of your crap.

Just watched a Tik Tok video created by Cheryl’s Life who was belittled by an Iraqi man who sits outside an Anne Summers shop in Swansea specifically to target women by aggressively demanding money from them.

Two new rucksacks were seen to be purchased, he then removes the plastic wrapping from them.

He dresses scruffily and has a sign saying he is homeless and hungry, when he has made enough money he then changes the clothing in to a new tracksuit and trainers and has a new mobile phone.

If he’s claiming asylum he can’t work and be earning money and begging is an offence.

The Scottish case?
Where the deportation was blocked because of UK Law?

Quote" His deportation was blocked on the grounds that it would interfere with his right to a “private and family life” under the Human Rights Act 1998;"

It looks to me, like this UK law is being badly interpreted by UK courts.

And it appears that the case is not over yet.
Quote “Fortunately, the Home Secretary has successfully appealed this decision, meaning that MD’s case will be heard again with due regard given to his stepdaughter’s wellbeing.”

And just to make your day, the case dates from 2022. So Starmer and Yvette Cooper are clearing up more mess from Johnson’s time.

Oh that’s great news, the ECHR is all good after all, no bad points or derogatory examples whatsoever,.Starmer’s govt is a success, the birds are singing and all is well with the world…and Rob walks into a set up and Franglais scores what he sees as one of his ‘Little victories’’

I think you know my next word.

Straw men…

Nobody said that.

Nobody said that.

Were you “set up” ?
Or were you repeating a set of half truths spun from sources you chose to trust?
If so who set you up? Clue: it was not me.

:joy:

Ok, I can just imagine you researching cases of non deportation and those pertaining to illegal immigrants, logging them in categories …fair hoping I would go for one where you could do what you do best…display your air of perceived superior knowledge and excercise your expertise of being a complete smart arse…congratulations.
When you saw my post I can imagine you shouting Yessss and punching the air…you sad little man.:joy:

How many did you find that allowed criminals and r4pists to stay in our country, putting our own people at risk, that you aint letting on about.
I’m fighting an unfair match here, you have farr much more time on your idle hands that I have.:joy:

So called homeless man, maybe wipe that smirk of the face as he knows soft touch England gives him everything on a plate for free.
A misogynist who targets women outside an underwear and lingerie shop in Swansea.

The video creator stated he originally had scruffy clothing to give the impression of poverty, and is then seen to buy two brand new rucksacks with the plastic wrapping that he removed.
He is then spotted wearing new clothing, trainers and bought a new mobile phone.

You started referring to this case. Not me.

If those you trust are feeding you spin and half truths, and I then give a fuller story…why shout and get angry at me? Shouldn’t you be getting angry (since you always get angry at someone) at those who are giving you half-truths?

Are there hard cases, and badly interpreted laws, and bad decisions being made?
Of course there are! No one says otherwise.
I say that a few bad cases are not good reason to do away with a whole swathe of human rights laws.

If someone gets points, loses their driving licence, loses their job, after going at 35mph in a 30 zone, should all speeding laws be disposed of?

Hard cases make bad laws.

So why then does the echr over rule sentances and what our courts have said because they are entitled to a family life. You break the law you have to live with the conciquences of that. If that means your visa or whatever is cancled toughski ■■■■■■■■

It is quite conceivable that 8f i killed someone i would be told as part of my life long licence i cant go in a certain area. If my kids lived in that area either i only see them when they visit or they have to move. So why should a drug dealing murder get special treatment

Can the ECHR “overrule” sentences of UK Courts?
What it can do is tell the UK Courts that they think relevant laws are not being upheld.

From you earlier posts you seemed to be thinking that home circumstances and someone’s family background would influence sentencing?
In the UK Sentencing Council Guidelines I can see nothing at all about “homelife” etc.

I tell what Coop, if I had the money I would be gone, this country is well and truly screwed and sinking faster than the Titanic, in the last few days on one day, 2000 of our cross channels economic spongers and free loaders made it to England to parasitise our NHS, and lucrative benefits system to get free housing/accommodation to then bring all their families over later on.

Sending 50 back a week in a returns deal is woefully pathetic and it’s just political gesturing and optics to appease potential new voters in a few years time so they can say they tried to do something.

Over the last few days journalists and reporters have been interviewing potential people who are determined to make the crossing to England where they are camped out in France, several of them cited their reasons to get to England, they all said the draw is the language, it’s a free and welcoming country but they didn’t say they were fleeing from persecution, at imminent risk of death in their own country or running away from a conflict or war to leave the women and children behind.

So they have publicly and on camera admitted they are not genuine asylum seekers.
