two tier at its best… a white male is accused of using a vehicle as a weapon on monday night… thursday night he is charged by the cps in magistrates court this morning then an hour later in the crown court. back in court for hearing his plea in 11 weeks time only because the cps need more time to find more charges against him. provisional trial date 24/11/25 approx 25 weeks from now. He is being held on remand as considered a flight risk despite having all his friends and family in this country
Manchester airport assault occurred on the 23/7/24 the suspects were arrested on the scene but weren’t charged for nearly 5 months. They didnt go to magistrates court till 16/1/25 6 months later nearly then didnt go to crown court till 13th feb. trial date set for 30th june over 11 months later. They havent served a day on remand despite having family abroad.
29/7/24 southport attack. arrested at scene. He was charged on the 31st. However he didnt appear in magistrates court until 30/10/24 3 months later and didnt appear in crown court for another 2 weeks. trial started 6 months after the offense.
Soldier stabbed in chatham 23/7/24 suspect appeared in magistrates court 25/7/24 but didnt appear in crown court untill the 22nd august. Still hasnt been sentenced
