Private schools are a business. Why should they be exempt from VAT?
Maybe closing all private schools would concentrate the minds of MPs of all parties and improve schools for all.
Never thought about it mate…too much going on in my own life.
My kids have all left school and grandkids are enjoying theirs.
There is only you who cares…apparentlly.
I’m definitely in that category. I listen to a lot of podcasts with entrepreneur types while driving round at work as I find it fascinating how their minds work and what sets them apart that has put them in that position. Until I grow a few more brain cells and am able to copy them I’ll stick to driving me lorry round.
Maybe if we’d had more control over our immigration policies rather than allowing it en-masse in the last 25 years that has seen our population swell, then maybe our schools wouldn’t be so overcrowded and therefore a better standard of education provided.
Yep, my brother and his wife decided to send their daughter to private school last year. They aren’t rich, he has worked damn hard to get himself up the career ladder in his job and while he earns good money they still have to make some sacrifices to do this but they are happy with that as their kids education are a priority.
Not surprisingly our resident apologist Franglais feels that people from this country who work hard and make sacrifices to give their kids an alternative and better education should be penalised financially, while at the same time he supports tens of millions of pounds of tax payers money being given to hotels and now private landlords to house illegal immigrants into this country.
That would require him having physical interaction with a woman. Can you imagine any woman tolerating him for any length of time for that to happen.
Is it fair that train drivers or public sector management, working or retired should pay the same rate of tax as a state pensioner ?.
Why wouldn’t you want to abolish VAT and put it on income tax instead ?.
Obviously different two tier rules apply for train drivers and public sector management and anyone else considered worthy enough by ‘the party’.
Of course he does,.thats the policy of the govt…put ecerybody before the British working person…especially those that should jot even be allowed to be here as things stand now.
Ironic when the original prime role and structure of the Labour party is to protect the interests of the working class.
As for Franglais…same old same old.
Well that is certainly relevant to VAT etc.
VAT is indeed a regressive tax and so may not be the best option for tax gathering.
Putting extra tax on income, is the most (in the UK at least) obvious alternative. Another option is of course wealth tax.
Well done Reform. I’m wondering if franglais can put any positive spin on Liebour’s dire performance with the massive swing to Reform.
Runcorn? A big win for RefUK Ltd A small margin, but a very big swing from Labour and also a gain from the Tories.
In by-elections the ruling party normally gets a bashing, but not always this big.
Mayoral elections? Last I saw, 3 Labour holds, on reduced majorities, and a win for Reform in the new seat of Lincolnshire
EDIT mI missed out Local elections RefUK UK Ltd are doing well here too. A lot of that is at the expense of the Tories. Results not all in, but I am sure that Farage will be pleased.
In actual fact the results are really secondary, where as the massive swing to Reform is extremely worrying to the more established parties. Reform win Runcorn by 6 votes or lose by 6 votes both show a massive swing to Reform. Even the Mayoral votes show a massive swing to Reform. Reform to be taken seriously even by those that refuse to listen or see.
Bizarre…
It is the results that show a swing to RefUK Ltd.
Steady on wait till I finish posting.
Win or lose the swing to Reform is what counts.
Oh YES
He seems to have finished with knocking parents who want the best for their children, …those who put their children before themselves,.
Especially since it seems to have backfired on him after stuff and alternative pov.s were pointed out.
Anybody else would say…
‘‘Do ya know what, I did not think of it that way, I may have got it wrong’’
Not Franglais though…Oh no.
You had finished posting…that is how I saw the post. That is why I replied, and quoted your post. That is how the forum works.
I note that it is now, after my comment was made, edited.
Really? So the current swing away from the Leave decision is more important the previous result?
As I said the swing towards RefUK Ltd is substantial. It is big.
But it is results that matter most.
As twisted a view as any previous ones.
Nothing wrong with wanting the best for our kids. And grandkids, and nephews, nieces and the kids of everyone in the UK.
Where have I said otherwise? In the same place I defended criminals?
If I want to say anything about any subject I will do so.
Alternative points of view are why I am here.
That is what forums are about, something you still have not grasped.
And of course if you weren’t all over my post in milli seconds of me posting knowing that I always edit…
The usual argumentative and cantankerous response from yourself, telling ME what I have done and when I did or didn’t do it, you really are a turnip.
Are you for real? The swing away from leave is completely different to VOTES CAST in these elections. There is absolutely only you who could bring leave up, but you’re not bitter are you?
And a massive swing ACROSS THE BOARD from practical obscurity to either breathing down the necks of or beating the other parties sends out a far more inportant message than winning Runcorn by 6 votes.
Right unlike you franglais I have a life, catch you as and when, You just keep ignoring whats going on. BTW is it ok that I have edited this post?
