You’ve got to be a certain vintage I imagine ^^^^
Today when asked in Parliament if he was aware it was…‘‘Islamophobia awareness month’’ (ffs ) …he did not rule out when asked for basically a ‘Blasphemy Law’',…obviously by an MP who was a Muslim.
What he should have said, was along the lines of… He respects the right to follow that religion, but there is no room for that sort of law in modern society.
He copped out instead…needless to say
Must not upset the Moslems you know.
So stand by for ancient laws from the Dark Ages coming anytime soon.
Assuming it’s the full package, although not sure…Islam, Christianity, Judaism, Hinduism etc etc…?
So just wondering… if you can get stoned for laughing at imaginary beings, does that include goblins, leprechauns and faries?
This country is becoming a joke under this lot.
you mean that a muslim wants to bring in laws that affect everyone biased on their beliefs. who would of thought that they wanted to turn england into a muslim country that the vast majority of them claimed asylum allegedly because of their laws
Chances are it won’t even get off the ground.
My point was he will not say or imply…or more importantly DO, anything derogatory towards the Moslems, including actively, and definitely not quickly, prosecute.
All part of the 2 tier thing.
sorry i hit maosters reply thingy there by mistake but meant your comment as you obviously realised
I hope your right that it doesnt get off the ground however it is already starting i feel with the 2 tier thing. The issue starmer has is the cleap labour force created by the last labour party has had their fingers burnt and as had happened all across europe damaged the economy which is possibly why the increase in minimum wage and to cover his bases is encouraging more to come from further afield.
Wow are people still talking about the cheap labour force created by the last labour government?
On the very day that the news broke about Boris opening the floodgates to the whole world with an all time high net immigration of over 900,000 people in a single year. And 700,000 the following year. Most arrivals from India, Pakistan, Nepal, Zimbabwe and china.
And this after taking away British people’s freedom of movement, making it harder for European people to live here, and adding over two million from the 3rd world
I don’t usually care too much about immigration and even I’m shocked by this
Thing is mate it neither excuses or makes an iota of difference which party started it, or which individual in another party went on to make it worse…
All that stuff (however relavant) just comes under the heading of
‘They are ALL the bloody same’.
This aint about who started it, or who has done the worst in their reign of government, in a ‘blame’ context, or to show which party is worse than the other, in a political point scoring excercise, …
We get enough of that type of 'kin b/s from Franglais…on a daily basis in fact when the Tories were in power, not so much about Labour though funilly enough.
The problem is NOW, the aftermath, the results of years of apathy and inertia, the status quo…
It needs action, our country is not just being joined by one or two boats,.we are actively being invaded, and will be forever until some hard line approach is adopted.
Our traditional ways and culture are at a threat…that is how bad it is.
These people are ABUSING a system or facility, a good system to help people who’s lives are at threat.
They are using it to improve themselves economically ONLY, nothing more, nothing less, and instead of going through the proper legal channels to do so, then getting fully catered for beter than our own people…including PRIVATE healthcare ffs !
I don’t know about you, but I certainly could not afford that, and I have worked since I was 16.
To make the matter even worse, they are being excused and actively encouraged by the left and their liberal free for all views and policies.
All we hear from them are ‘‘refugees’’ welcome this, irregulars that, and hostels the other…
Absolute deluded brainwashed clowns who are actively helping to ruin our infrastructure, and putting the welfare and sometimes even risk lives of British people and their families.
It seems that these types of moron are the people this govt only ever listens to …everybody else with a different or oppising view is racist or far right…
What is the present govt’s answer?
Soundbites …
Smash the gangs.
Blame the last govt.
And his f kin ‘black hole’.
The ‘Black Hole’ is his new ‘‘My Dad was a toolmaker’’.
Is that the Tory Gov that stopped the sort of immigrants who can come in to work easily, and so can leave easily when their job ends, in favour of immigrant workers who come from further away, and so end up staying for life, not just the term of a contract? So, immigrants coming not from the EU, with it’s increasingly similar pay, but from outside countries with largely poorer pay?
Who does that benefit I wonder? Workers or bosses?
The same Gov that made it harder for UK retirees to move abroad? Fewer houses vacated by them in areas with work, and more older people in the NHS hospitals than before?
The same number of migrants filling jobs, but possibly staying longer, and harder for us to leave if we want, be that to work abroad or retire.
Who would possibly guess that it would result in a net increase in migration?
Very few here.
I see Louise Haigh has resigned as Transport Secretary following news she has an old (expired) criminal conviction.
News came out last night and about 12hrs later she has gone, saying she does not want to be a distraction.
It is good she has gone quickly, but it looks like a bad choice by Starmer to have given her the job in the first place.
If he wants a squeaky clean Gov then he should have either been more up front about her past, when she was appointed and dealt with the flak then, or not given her a Ministerial post at all.
i see you have been taking maths lessons from fraglais 900,000+700,000 is not more than 2 million
if you want the stats of the damage labour did between 1997 and 2010 go look back at this thread i cant be bothered to post it all again but trust me it was a dang site more than 1 million per year
oh and btw the figures you have quoted were after boris left
We DO get it (hardly surprising when you take every opportunity to bang on about it.
Yeah the Tories are sons and daughters of Satan, and Boris was the devil incarnate…so effin what?
The biggest problem NOW (second to the Labour govt) is the illegals for all the reasons I have gave on here countless times, whilst even boring the arse of myself about it all…as well as everyone else.
So what is your beloved Starmer doing?
Oh yeah, he’s going to ‘‘Smash the gangs’’.
As for the other side of it…(I suppose your lot would call them ‘‘regulars’’ the opposite to …‘‘irregulars’’ .)
Oh yeah I heard his speech on doing a ‘white paper on it’ and all the rest of the guff and word salad…and he even managed to shoehorn his ‘‘black hole’’ in as well…needless to say.
All gob zero action…end of
“They’re all the bloody same “ says our rob roy
Doesn’t look like they’re all the same judging by this
I really don’t care mate…
If you think I’m wrong, …so be it I aint fussed tbh.
I meant that they (politicians) are all the same in varying degrees, some better or worse than others,.and at different times on different occasions.
Even the ones I choose to support and I fully get that, I am neither grossly naive, nor under any illusions on it, but you can only play cards with what you are dealt.
I wasn’t referring to anything specific, the only thing I can say specific is that they are ALL in it for themselves, with their snouts in the same trough.
Hope that clarifies
Just having a chat with a relative of mine. Apparently they have renamed some of the tube lines to things like windrush etc
In fairness to Starmer and the Labour party I actually don’t see what all the fuss is about here.
Yes she was guilty of this criminal conviction in 2014. But in the context of what it actually was, it’s hardly crime of the century, and in that context does she not deserve a 2nd chance. It was 10 years ago, she served whatever punishment she was dealt now move on. And this is coming from me, very anti Starmer and anti Labour point of view. I’ll even give him props for quick decisive action by getting rid of her - even though I personally think it was harsh.
I think Mr F is just on a ‘‘prove em wrong excercise’’ to illustrate to us he can knock the Labour party after all, (albeit mildly) despite our opinions to the contrary…
He sure as hell would have been all over it if it had been all.things Tory, so a bit of ‘gesture balance redressing’ for effect I reckon.
Me…all it does is vindicate what I have been saying all along, …All the same, none of em perfect, all got skeletons in their cupboard, …so no surprise really.
So it’s firmly on my ever expanding CGAF list, but I aint as naive as some…‘‘Squeaky clean government’’ Franglais says … a classic contradiction in terms/oxymoron if ever I heard one.
In the words of Francis Rossi ‘Everybody breaks the rules’.
I suppose we could not expect too much, but he forgot to mention Rachel Reeves, the Boris style liar, who put on her CV to get the top of the tree economist style job of …Chancellor of the Exchequer no less.
Apparentlly she put on her job application CV she had been some financial whizz kid, a class 1 highly trained specialist economist in her last post, …
Turns out she was just…‘Rachel from accounts’.
(I think being that she was author of the last budget, it kinda says it all really, .and illustrates it quite adequately) .
I reckon that should be considered more ‘outrageous’ than somebody exaggerating a theft in order to scam the insurance to get the latest ‘I’ phone or whatever that other bird did.
Yeah I think that was more in the ‘Boris League’ tbh
Still,…‘quote Franglais …‘They aint as bad as the Tories’’ (unquote) eh?
Here is an interesting YT.
Max Robespierre is more of a left winger, but is praising a Tory ex-MP here.
I agree, and Starmer, it now seems was aware of the conviction when he gave her the Ministerial job.
So why was she sacked now?
It is confusing, but it seems that although she did tell Starmer, she did not tell the relevant Civil Servants etc, so was in breach of the Ministerial rules.
She broke the rules, so was sacked. I would think that the spent conviction itself was not the issue, but some other lash-up.
I’m open to correction and I expect more facts to emerge later and clear up the issues.
