And where is (you put it in quotes) āI am going to smash the gangsā in the manifesto?
I canāt find it. I have found this:
āLabour will stop the chaos and
go after the criminal gangs who
trade in driving this crisis. We will
create a new Border Security
Command, with hundreds of new
investigators, intelligence officers,
and cross-border police officers.ā
And here is the Migration Observatory Labourās pledges on migration: the data - Migration Observatory
Quote
āNet migration to the UK ā the difference between immigration and emigration ā fell to an estimated 204,000 in the year ending June 2025. That was 78% lower than its 2023 peak, and lower than during most of the previous decade.ā
āSkilled worker visas fell to 52,000 in the year ending Sept 2025 - a 75% decline in 2 yearsā
" The number of people crossing the Channel increased significantly in the 18 months of Labour government. There were around 41,000 arrivals in 2025 ā close to the record levels reached in 2022, and 13% more than a year before. In the year ending 30 June 2025, the last period for which data were available, small boat arrivals made up 5% of overall immigration into the UK.
In the last few years, numbers have fluctuated up and down for many reasons, and it is hard to disentangle the causes. The Home Office suggested that a period of unexpectedly calm weather in the Channel in the first half of 2025 led to more crossings; however, there is no evidence that weather conditions affect the number of crossings over longer periods, rather than simply determining their timing in the short run.
While we have official data on how small boat crossings change, it is very difficult to attribute any increase or decrease to specific government policies. Many external factors can influence arrivals more than government policy. These include social and economic developments in countries of origin and developments in smuggling networks."
There were 47,670 small boat arrivals in the year to 30 Oct 2022. Mostly under Johnson.
There were 46,525 in year to August 6th 2025. Starmer. Down to 41,475 in the year to Dec 30 2025
A small cut, and not the massive increase that GB Propaganda would have you believe.
You really are one absolute saddo mateā¦seriously.

You take the time to write a virtual dissertation of official stats and lines in your efforts to defend these socialist clowns. ![]()
Youāve wasted it on me !..
I virtually fell asleep at the start of the second paragraph, in your efforts to put a positive spin on this cluster ā ā ā ā of āāStopping the boatsāā Smashing the gangsāā and/or whatever other meaningless sound bite these clowns come out with whilst doing absolute Jack shā¦but paying for it whilst Macron laughs his knob off at Starmer and us.
Unlike yourself I have not perused the Labour manifesto to the point of being an expert on itā¦Mainly because I have a life.
So I will willinglly take your authoriative word on it.![]()
So in the name of pedantry maybe he didn t use that quote in his meaningless manifesto to con us into voting for himā¦but he sure as hell built his election campaign on it. !
Anyhoo Iām off to study in minute detail and make notes on the Reform manifesto ā¦so we can be on a level political playing fieldā¦
NOT .

Time for you to bring out yer āāIronymeterāā for the first time this year.![]()
This guy is unbe ā ā ā ā ā ā lievable. ![]()

So your point is exactly??
Yep ā¦and yet again the litmus test kicks in.
..(Jeez Iām getting as sick of bringing this up as you lot are of hearing it.
)
I think āāPigs ear manāā is right after all..I actually AM repeating myself at every post.![]()

So ā¦go with this for a moment.
Iām thinking of starting a mega sized transport firm up with a view to matching and competing with the likes of Stobart, Wincanton, etc ā¦the bigger players,I want to get to the top of the road transport tree.
I wonder who I should employ?..
hmmmm.
Plenty of unemplyed butchers, bakers, and candlestickmakers looking for jobs I am toldā¦
Nah, tell ya what, call me old fashioned, call me predictableā¦but.I reckon Iāll concentrate on experienced and qualified truck drivers instead who know the job but are sick of their present employerā¦what do ya think?
Then some baloon on a forum can attempt to ridicule me in shear frustration of this new company about to rule the transport roost, because he does not like that idea.. thus making a complete d1ck of himselfā¦
Get my drift or what ??
A transport firm fails because it has a load of incompetent drivers who steal the loads and crash the trucks.
Robroy would give them all jobs!
.

āāThe perverse inclination to disagree with everythingāā ā¦you need help.
Yeah ok mate if that makes you feel betterā¦you are always right.
Alternativelyā¦
''A transport firm succeeds because it has a load of experienced drivers.who go on to make a success because of that aspect.
Glass half full v Glass half empty.
Always better to employ people who understand how a business works and actually have life experience in the posts they take up.
Otherwise they are eventually found out to be out of their depth.
They just wing and blag the job from day to day in shear incompetence, which usually proves catastrophic.
The present Labour govt is a shining example of that theory.
