When I give stats I am happy to give their origins, and discuss them. When these two chancers give them they get all precious and come out with such intellectual arguments as “I dunno”.

You mean like when we are given official statistics on the percentage of Muslims incarcerated nationally compared to the percentage of the Muslim population as a whole. They are not trying to die.
They are not trying to commit suicide. None have (so far as I know) attempted tying sheets to make ropes and hang themselves etc.

The idea is not death, but is publicity for their cause.
If they killed them selves quickly then there would be no time for publicity and support to grow.
