POLICE VANS

Does anyone know why there were at least 50 police vans (Transit size) heading north on the M6 on Friday? I saw a convoy of about twelve in Cheshire, followed by three lots of six in Staffs and various twos, threes and fours, the last being just north of Hilton Park services. Each appeared to have a driver and passenger. Seemed a bit strange, unless inmates in that prison at Wolverhampton (Featherstone?) were being moved en mass to somewhere else.

Could it not have been the mutual aid for cops26 in glasgow

^^^^ that. The A1 north was full of them on Friday heading up from the Home Counties. Obviously expecting bother in Glasgow from the great unwashed.

26 Cops on their way to the Cop26 conference… What could be more obvious?

… The extras were there to protect Insult-ate Little Britain people lying down as “Sleeping Policemen”, thus doing the cop’s job for them. :stuck_out_tongue:

I saw about 60 travelling up the A1 on Friday… obviously going to Glasgow.
What got me most had had kent police on the side.
So anybody in Kent now’s your chance as all the police are in Scotland.
Be one huge security event was looking on a map be. Nightmare for anybody delivering around.glasgow city centre while that’s on

Cop26 conference…

Saving the planet by flying thousands of flunkies, stooges and other assorted nonentities, thousands of miles at our expense, to put them up in 5 star hotels along with their security detail etc. Also include a several convoys of police support vehicles travelling the length of England and back again.

None of them will give a ■■■■ where the lobster came from.

Nothing boils my ■■■■ quicker than free-loaders having a knees up at my expense.

and breathe

Its going to be another feeding frenzy for the already well fed. I live near Gleneagles where the G8 was held, they were going to Make Poverty History. Wonder what this lot are going to do, or not do.? Half of the entire police service was mobilized for that shin dig.

Were they electric vans or anti climate change polluting ones

They were escorting a lorry full of Donuts

It will be a right screw for the police - nothing to do all day and plenty of doyble bubble. Maybe pepper spray an 85 year old woman protestor then back home for dinner on expenses.

2 deliveries and one collection in Glasgow tomorrow - not looking forward to this next week at all .

I saw ten police vans at York services on the A1.
Pity about some of the cynical comments.I have respect for the police, they put their lives at risk protecting the public.Dont you think of that…

Yes,true.
I would hope most are good people

With all the forces up here for COP26 ,the criminals will be running amock since there is no one left to deal with crime…In the same vein even when i have been out in road test there have been covoys of elec jags etc making there way here ,DAF have their elec 18 tonner up for it …Because there isn’t enough charge points for their cars they are using generator powered by cooking oil lol…Where i am they have turned roads that are like dual carrageway into single by giving a lane to cyclists .so while cyclist who haven’t used it so far can cycle with no issues cars now need to stop if someone want to turn right in to the shopping centre

I’m in glasgow and as far as I’m aware the amount of planned events this week will keep them busy, never mind the unplanned protesters blocking roads

Also I’m no expert but when I was a kid it was Cs spray and now pava. I’ve never seen a uk police force use pepper spray

In our area, they must all be in plain clothes…'cos I haven’t seen one for a couple of months

Try to report a burglar, or search for the now mythical foot patrol bobby on the beat, and it will make you think. When did the police change from a public service into a politicians service?
