saw this truck today on the m6 south bound at haydock its a 09 plate silver grey with merc decals on the doors. looked like they had a victim on the hard shoulder

Yes it was i joined the m6 south from the A580 it came out of the works unit just south of the A580 silver merc its got the words driver CPC logo on the top above the drivers door and past me as if i was stood still must have been doing 65 he went down to the truck stop then came back up the M6

hmmm, but if they stop another truck running onto the hard shoulder and squashing another stranded car by doing this well publisised campaign surely that justifies this police action.

Do you actually believe that ■■.. statistically how often does this happen in the UK ? often enough to make it necessary to do this? I think not, it’s yet another revenue raising excercise, under the guise of road safety, to catch some poor unsuspecting trucker eating a Mars bar and/or scratching his arse while making his living. 
If they were trying to catch foreigners watching DVD’s etc. surely they would have got a ‘left ■■■■■■’ and sit at 50mph in the inside lane.
That way the copper riding shotgun could see exactly what’s on the laptop screens.
By them getting a right hand drive with no limiter goes to prove their after catching the Brits that are easier to ‘nick’…
It’s a pity that they didn’t concentrate their efforts as much on truck related CRIME instead of truck related INFRINGEMENTS, a couple of unmarked cars patrolling overnight parks would be a better use of resources and Police man hours, but it’s the easy target, easy option thing again isn’t it,… Useless ■■■■■■■■ the lot of them

I’m gonna cut the steering column out of the scrap FL10 down our yard & cable tie it into the right hand side of my (LHD) F16 & during my 12 year old sons school holidays take the odd day cruising the M58, M6 & M62 with him in the passenger side holding an empty Stella tin with a pork pie in the other hand, ‘steering’ with his knees while watching a DVD on the laptop!!!
They’ll think it’s Chrismas come early

The only people wasting police time is ‘the filth’ themselves, criminalising drivers for doing what we’ve been doing safely for decades!! I think they’d be megga peed off having stopped a 12 year old Stella drinking pie munching HGV driver, when in truth I was on the other side pouring myself a cup of black coffee from my flask, totally out of camera shot
