Black Volvo saloon YG0?ATV runs out of the plod base at J41 next to Morrisons and there’s also a Black Honda Accord Type-R couple with a huge rear hoop spoiler and 18" alloys that I’ve seen three times now on the M1/M62 corridor with blue strobes in the front grille and rear clusters

Black Skoda RS with two big fat coppers does the M1 round Leicester. Seen it a few times and it seems like it’s the same two plods. Look out for numerous ariels on the roof.
Last time I saw them was on the way to a Football match in London and my mate even had the audacity to pull a funny face at them as we went by

Don’t knock the Octavia RS. I’ve driven one and they are a fast car. More than a match for a Golf GTi.

re the RS Octavia being more than a match for a Golf GTi
I have no doubt. To be honest, i was just rather suprised, i wasn’t aware Skoda did an RS!
But what i was getting at re the working clothes was:
Skoda are owned by VW. Much running gear, some engines, & even Floor pans are shared. I am fairly sure the RS Octavia will be Golf GTi based.

I don’t think the Octavia is actually based on anything that VW do although much of the trim and switchgear is the same. The only reason I say this is that the Octavia appears to be a much bigger car than the Golf.
Can’t understand why people rage about the Golf GTi because it is not as quick as the GT TDi (Diesel). My brother had one of these and it was a very fast car. (130bhp with a 6 speed gearbox). He now has a VW Sharan with the same driveline and that is quick even with 7 people in!
The amazing thing is that the TDi could manage about 60mpg on a long run - the GTi was quoted as giving about 32mpg!
