not on the A9 though in the midlands area! :sunglasses:  :open_mouth: :unamused: :grimacing: :grimacing:

bit useless between perth and inverness though, wont be able to get up the sie of cabs on most of the roads.

If the 40 mph limit was imposed on the A9 above berth it would become gridlocked very quick. Then the accident rate would soar IMO.

Yes, it would because the kamikaze JOCKENESE are too impatient, too busy and too dangerous to drive their cars sensibly! :grimacing: :grimacing:

It is imposed on that road.

Maybe not enforced much.

You should still be doing 40mph on a single carriageway road, it’s the law :grimacing:

And 50 on a dual too - makes it easier for me to pass you with my caravan on the back whilst obeying the speed limit for me of 60mph = less congestion behind

It is imposed to the point of scameravans and some of the police, some of the traffic officers use their brains up this neck of the woods though and aslong as your not doing 50mph in the truck 3 inches off a cars rear end you then its unlikely youll get much of a glance, if your doin 56 down there well your own fault if you get caught.

just mind both cameras on the a9 north of perth have weight sensors,

Both cameras ? there were five fixed cameras between Perth & Aviemore IIRC

There’s only 2, dunked and killiecrankie

Never heard of one.As Gogzy says,it would be a bit pointless. Why would they need one when they have scamera vans that can hide just around corners?

Don’t come up here often,eh?
The two cameras at Ballinluig were removed when the junction was improved in 2008 and the one at Bankfoot was removed in 2010 when that junction was improved.

Used to very often , not much though in the last twelve months. Now work from Fort William so the A96 & A82 is my regular journey, live near Elgin and as I said there WERE five between Perth and Aviemore, didn’t say there were now.

The Killiecrankie one got me several years ago.I was in a 7.5 tonner in the early hours of the morning, should have knocked of the c.c. but didnt so was doing 60mph on the single carriageway. Its all about road safety though.
