So who’s voting? I have to be honest and say the whole thing doesn’t interest me and along with the fact I’ve had no information on candidates etc, I shalln’t be using my vote next month.

That’s the thing; Who could fall for this “anyone can stand” crap? You have to have money behind so it’ll benefit some ex mp who wants to put his snout back in the trough again. As for “hiring and firing Chief Constables” that’ll be more golden handshakes then.
I’ve only voted once in 15 years of being eligible. I don’t think it makes any difference,especially in local elections where all councillors waste money on skateboard parks and metal huts for the local chavs.

I like to think that by abstaining from voting, you’re saying “none of the above, thankyou.”
I’d go out and actually put a x to that if it were allowed on the ballot paper.

The comment above about John Prescott worries me, if people cant be arsed to vote he will get in. They have to use tactical voting to keep the fat zb out.
If you don’t want them to win, vote for someone who cant win but will run a close third. The second man gets the votes and pushes prescott out again
