Police comercial vehicle unit A120 Braintree

Just tipped at Great Dunmow this morning and then onto Witham and got to the roundabout on the A120 where the retail park is and there must be about 7 police on bikes 3 cop cars and a comercial vehicle unit trailer there.
The bikes are parked are parked at every pinch point on the roundabout waiting and watching and the vehicle unit and other cars are parked up on the road that takes you down towards Witham. They had got an artic pulling a container parked up when I went passed and a car pulling a small trailer with a copper stood at the back of it reading off a long piece of paper ( don’t know if it was some sort of checklist or whatever)
Do they do this regular around here as I’ve not seen them before in the past? And do they just pull anyone over and check stuff like your tacho, what speeds you have been doing and a check over of the truck and trailer? Or have they got “spotters” out further down the roads who radio through to them when they see someone doing somthing they shouldn’t?

So you didn’t get tugged… :grimacing:

Surprised that haven’t got the people from the DVSA & DWP there as well… You’ll probably find the there are unmark vehicles doing the spotting… anything that ANPR flagging up or looking for dodgy motors …the bikes probably doing the pull overs…Its not uncommon theses days, think they call it the police being proactive…

Anyway how’s the back dude…

Back at work (thanks for asking) back still aches a little at the bottom on the right hand side, bit of ache and pain in my groin area but no pain shooting down my leg. Took my dads cocodamol to work but haven’t needed to take any as of yet. Just rubbing deep heat into the affected area when I wake up and when I get my head down just see how it goes, don’t know if it is sciatica or ive pulled somthing by either turning too quick or when I was using my resistance bands weekend before last.

Pulled something dude …try positioning a hot water bottle or a heat pad in the area of pain, try some Voltarol gel… find deep heat just warms the area up… its best to have a ■■■■■■■ hot bath / shower… then apply the gel whilst ya pause are open…Just be careful on the medication whilst driving

Lay of them resistance bands until better… if your still in pain get yaself to the quacks

they often do this at the other end of the A120 where it meets the M11

They normally have a spotter tucked in behind a pillar of the bridge a little way before the roundabout (cholesterol corner  ) as you travel eastbound. ANPR motors on the Witham road and in the layby on the westbound stretch before the RA.
They regularly do DVSA/VOSA/Ministry checks at the 2 big laybys just west of Gt Dunmow. Normally a Galaxy and tank dipping van.
Also Boreham services on the A12 at junc 19. Near enough once a week, if not more. :grimacing:

Yep - Boreham is a weekly event

Essex police doing more highly important police work (clowns) no doubt at the behest of the chief clown police commissioner Nick Alston another abject failure but at the cost of over 100k to the ratepayers of Essex.

The same Essex police who didn’t realise a bloke had been shot, thought it was a heart attack!

Also colluded to keep an innocent man in jail for over 30 years by changing statements, destroying evidence, and giving a fraudster immunity from prosecution if they would testify that the accused had confessed to them. Gotta love them, just don’t expect to see them if you’ve had a burglary…

You won’t get them to a burglary, but you can always find them outside the chippy, just look for double yellows, and a footpath,
