Poles and ships don't mix

No doubt the Polish crew of the ship grounded in North Wales were drunk, as all Poles are 100% of the time in my opinion. Ban Polish crews from our seas.

Ban them from the UK full stop

Not wishing a Polish rant or indeed an Eastern European rant, but after posting the Belgian alcohol story I read up on the differing limits in other countries. It is either nil or 0.2% over there and we have 0.8%.

In my experience it has always been the East Europeans who seem to have the drink problem and there beer is much stronger than ours, so how do they end up so ■■■■■■ on our beer & spirits?

No doubt Orys will recount a night of passion in Cardiff or Glesga with a local who was steaming wrecked, a bit like the ship! :stuck_out_tongue:

Never met a Matelow who didn’t drink. I’d be more concerned if they were all sober…

Wouldn’t work Switch, most ships have Poles on em now. The chief officer on here is Polish and bloody brilliant at his job and the engineer is Russian and neither of them drink. So I try to make up for them. The deckhands are Filipino so I’m the only English person onboard and this ship is registered in London, and I live in Scotland.
The Carrier was/is German owned and registered in Antigua. The other thing that needs banning is that poxy loading jetty at Llandulas, unless the wind is off the land loading there is frightening, but loading in a strong to gale force NE’ly wind as she did was sheer bloody stupidity of the first order.
