Absolutely normal, under EU rules POA is break, however the UK has a dispensation, we don’t count it as such. As these Tachos are EU rules based, they have not been adapted to UK dispensations.

Just keep an eye on it next time, you still need a 15, ignore the one you have now.

Just to confuse you even more, if you are double manned, the first 45 of POA of the non driver does count as break in the UK, different dispensation…

POA…

The David Copperfield button as I call it…time just vanishes.

UK and Sweden don’t count it as a break if I’m correct… Just sayin like

The only thing poa is good for is to extend your 6 hour

If you get paid for recorded breaks or at least those over the daily 45 mins then NEVER USE POA

And if you’re salaried and want to keep your average hours up high like I used to do in my old job

Break will do that as well as POA so why use POA

I think what BB meant Rog was that he WANTED his hours racking up as he was salaried, in which case other work was his friend.

You got it  but in my new job I use poa a fair bit as I’m hourly paid.

Hand on heart I’ve never used it. Do have 5 or 6 hours a day on break though!

So why not use break instead ?

I was parked up, not in an area suitable for a break really, i wasnt that far from my loading site.

I wanted to exstend my time so i could make it to the loading site and get loaded and then go on break as there is suitable parking there.

Had around 30mins on POA but it recorded 15mins of that as break…

I normally have an hour for break when either work or drivetime runs out, (My boss is aware of this) lol or Unless i want to finish early or i have a different day, i would have 15mins then 45. Or 30 30. As you know you can shoot yourself in the foot if you take it too early!

Unfortunately transport with the company i have to ring after i tip couldnt run a ##ss up in a brewery lol

i had same problems in a scania with siemens. was getting infringements for not having breaks…

You’d think that wouldn’t you but my employer tells me not to and to only use breaks when I’m due one.
Work that one out because I can’t.

Because Rog As Ive Said Time And Time Again By Just Using Break Can ■■ Up Your Day By Making You Have Another Break Where You Dont Need To Which Can Make The Differance Of Gettin Somewhere.
