No POA doesn’t count as break or rest, so I’m afraid you can’t count it towards a split daily rest period.
The only time POA can be counted as break is when you’re sat in the passenger seat of a multi-manned vehicle, and then it’s only the first 45 minutes.
Is there a reason you used POA instead of break as many others would have done when waiting?
