The digi thinks it’s break even though it actually records it as POA, so download is correct, it just screws the time up on the clock.
15 mins poa and the digi would think that was 15 mins break, so if you did 15 mins poa, then 30 mins break, it’d reset the clock, or 15 mins break and 30 mins poa…
hope that’s some help, but just avoid the pointless option allowed
45 minutes! I think! Deffo in the scenario described by Wayned above!
If your on digi and you want to use POA for whatever reason, then you cant rely on the digi to tell you your driving time. Why? cos its a crap piece of software bought by the crap European idiots that think they know better than us drivers about drivers hours. What a load of ■■■■■■■■ they paid for with our tax money for us.
It (with the approval of our [zb] European rulers) believes that even with single manning your first 45 mins of POA (whatever the ■■■■ thats supposed to be) counts as break, so why the ■■■■ wouldnt the second 45 mins count as break as well (the ■■■■■■■ idiots).
Rant over
Why don’t our European overlords spend a few Euros to sort out our digi friggin tachos?
So imm guessing 14 min wouldent reset driving time
If you do 14 mins POA, other work at least 1 min, then 29 mins POA then repeat if neccesary, it should not alter driving time.

You would have thought so, but unfortunately not quite correct.
The VU will reset the ■■■■■■■■■■ continuous driving time to zero when it has recorded 45 minutes of ‘break/rest,’ ‘availability’ or ‘unknown.’ The latter is the period between the card being ejected one day and inserted later after a daily or weekly rest, where no ‘manual entry’ is made to account for the time that the card was out of a VU. The VU will sum periods of at least 15 minutes together and once it get to 45 minutes (3x15, 15+30, 30+15, 25+20, 23+22 or any other combination, that may not be legal according to the current EU drivers’ hours rules) then the preceding driving time will be reset to zero and a new 4.5 hour period will begin.
So in the example given 14+29 would not cause an issue. However, if the ‘availability’ pattern is repeated then the second 29 would be added to the first and driving time would be reset in the VU.

45 mins will reset it but use your arrows on stonerigde and your fortnightly driving time remains! That’s donated by two thin lines so if you use a diary to write down your times you’ll never forget your drive time!
For instance mon morning 23h45 your first drive can’t exceed 28h15 for your first 4.5 HR drive! Write it down if your memory’s like a sieve! POA resets after 45 mins as it’s our Europeans break symbol! They use bed symbol to sleep!
I really don’t know why people use poa. There’s no situation where you could use poa, that you couldn’t use break
As I understand it the reason we use POA is to reduce your overall working time?

So what does everyone do while on poa then?
I get paid for POA I don’t get paid for breaks, it’s as simple as that. Why should I sit in a queue and not get paid for it?
That always intrigues me. Do you mean they download your card and stop you total break time to the second?

Knuckle shuffle in tesco Rdc’s! Laptop, films, drink coffee
