Being a agency driver nearly all the time im sent to places ive not been to before so for a safety reasons and being caught out in a Class 1 with a low bridge where i was given wrong directions i had to reverse 450 ft on a bendy country road to get turned i decided i need a sat nav and bridge heights

GARMIN 660 fm MOVIE

Most sat navs out their are all good and do their job.ive been using a garmin 660 fm for over 1 year its got a 4.5 inch screen so you can see ur route when ur winscreen is far back. The map is nice and clear and when ever the truck moves i have the sat nav set up so the direction of travel i see whats a head and pre empt my where im going etc
alot the time its the voice from the sat im listening to and i have a quick glance at the unit the odd time to see the road

My sat got a neet thing on it where it will tell you how long you been driving and stopped and speed

The bridge addon i bought works on any sat nav and they have got 3500 bridges with heights to load onto the sat nav its easy to set up and mine done so i get 1 mile warning and 300 ft warning of low bridge it also works when you have ur sat nav on and not using got a route planned it will still show you warning it works for any sat nav.i paid for this its money well spent

This is just a insight of my sat nav and how it helps me get to places quickly and safely a good tip is keep to the main (A) roads if you can as the sat nav doesnt know ur 53ft long

you dont have to buy the dearest model when it comes to a sat nav i was limited at the time for 1 which was 4.5 screen big
