Pleasant Experience

I was stopped on a peage just outside Cholet in France on Wednesday, A routine check that took about 45 minutes. A couple of blokes rolled around on the floor under my trailer while another checked the tyres and lights.

I had a corner marker light and 2 side markers out, as the way these lights are wired up, they are like militant christmas tree lights, one out, all out :stuck_out_tongue:

Anyway no problems there and a promise to report the lighting faults to my boss.

Then it came to the tacho checks and as I passed him the cards one by one he looked more concerned. He asked me in future to write the department number on the start and finish place.

Im not sure whether it is a legal requirement but it doesnt seem too much to ask,

The final clever trick was he pulled a cable from his pocket and plugged it into my tracking computer, and the diagnostics socket on the floor. He then looked on his computer screen, laughed and called his mate. It appears they were laughing at the Englishman who spends more time in bed than working

I am quite looking forward to these digital tachygraf things
