Handy little tool that. Thank you.
might wanna try here aswell, this is a cool little tool
ain’t as good as mine!
Hehehehe could be mark one day,lol
just download the pic resizer on the windows site {powertoy} you then resize your pic with a right click on the mouse, all done from start to finish in 2 clicks
Thanks for the link brit_mark . It is very good
and easy to use. I used 640 x 480 pixels for my
pics just like rob k pic’s
I’ve never needed either before as I used to set my camera up to take pics at 640x480 but I’ve had to take a few recently at full quality but create a thumb nail link and both these pic resizer links have been excellent. Thanks for the links .

If ya go through your camera’s various functions you’ll probably find it will do an ‘email copy’ for you at 640x480, which it saves in a separate folder on whatever media your camera uses (SD card, Compact Flash, whatever) You just download it as normal and thus don’t need the picture resize tool.
I use www.imagecave.com and you can upload your pictures and then resize them on the website. If you keep the same filename for your pictures, the resized pictures will overwrite the originals that you uploaded.
If you host your pics on Imageshack you can resize them there too. Once its uploaded it’ll be the size you want it. Theres a drop down menu with all the sizes on and the whole process (uploading, resizing etc…) is all done on one page.
microsoft.com/windowsxp/down … rtoys.mspx
Windows Power Toys allows you to resize them on your PC with just a right click of the mouse.
There’s some smashing stuff in Power Toys Check it out. All for free!
XP users only.
you can also resize by using HTML code instead of IMG tags
this was posted in another thread by Sheeter
This website allows HTML code, as well as Image Code, so try this. It not only resizes the picture to 640x480 pixels (or whatever you fancy), but centres the image on the page. The center tags aren’t necessary, they can be ignored, but maintain the Aspect Ratio.
The URL of the image is enclosed in the first set of " ". This is handy if a picture is used where the image host site can’t be accessed, and you’ve only got it’s URL.
Here’s the HTML code - it means you don’t have to use any resizing software, although this case (ImageCave) you can resize at source by using Modify Image. Same as in Photobucket.

just make sure you haven’t checked the box on the posting page that says “disable HTML in this post”

Ignore this - html code doesn’t work on the new board
Can I also suggest the freeware prog “Irfanview”, you can use it for all sorts of image manipulations, renaming, batch resizing, colour corrections, insertion of text etc, etc etc. It will even play movies. It always comes in the top few of “best freeware”, it’s here:
irfanview.com/
enjoy
Found this and it easy to use.
bluefive.pair.com/pixresizer.htm
At a glance Mark, that looks like just what I need, havent time to explore now but will do over the next few days!

Kev
