Usually keep some in the truck in case I end up parked somewhere that’s not within walking distance of a pub that does food or some other form of eating establishment.
Morrisons is where I buy them either the Kershaws frozen ones 4 for £5 or the chilled ones that are 3 for £6.
Anybody got any recommendations for emergency ping meals?
Ready made chilled curry from Tesco.
2 for a fiver and 4 onion bahjis for 2 quid.

Hi Grumpy, weight watchers frozen chicken curry, and the chillie con carne,
I like the Kershaw ones, used to deliver to their place in Southport and if it wasn’t right they wouldn’t accept it.
Not a big fan of Curry and I don’t eat poultry but the Kershaws meals are pretty tasty.
Had one for tea tonight, tastes good with a can of Red Stripe.
Asda do some good stuff. They used to do roast dinners that you’d nuke for three minutes, not sure if they still do though.
Be very careful with these ready meals, check the sugar content,I believe someone I know contracted diabetes by having a constant diet of these.I myself do have the occasional ready meal.
Why not do what I do, get the Mrs (yours not mine ) to knock you up some home made stuff at the weekend.
I take stuff like Sheperds pie, Chicken/Beef curry or casserole, Kung pow chicken and rice, or even a couple of pre.cooked jacket taties, with some cold meat and salad.
I don’t do Mondays now, but when I did I used to heat up what was left of Sunday lunch, although microwaved Yorkshire pud wasn’t too great I found.
Supermarket ready meals are ok, but as said maybe not too good for you if you have too many.
If I do ever take them I find Indian and Chinese readies are particularly good from Iceland.
Another handy quick snack if you park up late and don’t want anything too heavy, are cold meat, salad and sweet chilli sauce in tortilla wraps , with cheese cole slaw, now they are good washed down with a bottle of Bud.

Spot on!!
Marks and Spencer, 3 for £7 Italian meals, blow anything else from the supermarkets out the water. Their Chinese selection isn’t as varied but it’s good too.
Halls do haggis, mince and tatties and macaroni and ham which are all good, you can get them in Asda.

At the end of the day it’s your dinner, why not make it something good? The meals aren’t much dearer and they’re far better.
I guess I’m Mr Extra Posh since I’m having pork chops tonight and a sirloin tomorrow?

Why buy ping meals when there is free meat to had , known as roadkill.
When the owl forgot its pilots licence and is deceased on your front grille.
