Wondering if anybody here can help me.At my mums at the moment and her partner has been asking if his pigeon club in north wales require an o licence for transporting the birds around the country.Obviously its not hire or reward and he thinks the vehicle is 7.5 ton
he might need a restricted o licence if he receives any form of payment towards fuel costs vosa could take the view that he is being paid to carry the birds in that case, even though he is not making a profit. i remember something about it when i use to have a 7.5 tonne horse box, wasn’t allowed to carry anyones else horse to a show with out operating licence
who owns the lorry ? and who pays the fuel/repair bills ?
ar their wings cliped, is that the reason they need transporting round the country

No you idiot. They are called ‘Homing Pigeons’, not ‘Going Away Then Coming Home Pigeons’.

you will need a anamal licence 2/3 day course i think you need a o/licence
if you put a cat in with the pidgeons they will fly around and then you wont need a 7.5 tonner as theres no weight.
3 tonner should do you just fine
