the tractor is for splitting my logs.

Jesus Dan, don’t you have any roughage in your diet?

Maoster I have 10 tonne of London plain rings at the mow .cheers .

Punchy Dan:
It’s a E14 ,the jcb is for digging out with here and the tractor is for splitting my logs.

Provided the JCB doesn’t crap itself and need extensive repairs you should get back what you paid for it. Definitely cheaper to buy an older 2nd hand where the prices are stable than rent one.

this is my truck now

That looks the part. Will have to remember to look out for that. :sunglasses:

Just treated my self to a jcb and a john Deere .

I don’t care about the jcb’s, I wanna have a go in the ERF! Proper truck that! I drove a few ec10’s or was it 11’s, can’t remember, back in the day and always liked them for their basic no nonsense toughness. And the motors sounded great! Never drove the big 14 though.

The low down torque is incredible ,although I do sometimes feel sorry for the diff and uj’s !! Anyone who would like a drive is welcome ,Gunnerheskey will take some beating though .

That’ll be tellin

Arrived today, so I’ll be driving it once I’ve done the Hiab course jobby. Will be better when signwritten as I don’t want to be mistaken for Limper on a blue chip utility contract.

That’s far too clean ! Looks tidy. Judging by the silly money being asked lately will have cost a fair whack too.

Only done just over 100000km and the crane looks like new. Even the cab interior was spotless. Surprising condition for an ex rental wagon. It doesn’t have air con or even electric windows (why?) but of the MANs I’ve driven, the air con never worked properly on any of them anyway.
It was a bit pricey, but we got a good price for a 14 year old Daf which went to another od who wont buy anything with a digital tacho. He’s also a Daf fan so a result. :sunglasses:

hre.s mine

Why the negativity towards digi tacho’s? I’d prefer my trucks to be old skool, manual gearboxes etc but I think the digi tachograph is one advance that was great. I certainly wouldn’t want to go back to analogue.
As for MAN air con… Works well when it works which ain’t very often in my experience. Thing is, they routed the pipes badly which meant they rubbed through and lost the gasses. I had one for a few years and moaned like hell about the air con not working so finally as summer came to an end they got it in for repair. I thought, great! I’ll have lovely cold air con for next summer if I’ve still got the truck by then. I did still have it and as the weather warmed up I confidently hit the switch and waited…and waited…and waited…nothing…still blowing warm!!! Grrrrrr, I lifted up the front grill and looked at the new pipe that had been fitted last year and yes you’ve guessed…rubbed through [emoji35][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35][emoji35] I even pressed a pipe into the refill valve to make sure and yup, no gas in it!!! Typical MAN shoddiness. I hope I never drive one again as long as I live!!!

That’s really good mileage for its age so presumably it’s had a pretty steady life. It’s probably not been used very much so looked after should last a while

An action shot of mine
