There are worse offices to work in that’s for sure. Main thing for me though is what it puts in the bank for me every Friday.

It’s still the eaton 16 sp at the mow but I have a tso I will be getting reconditioned ,but first smiths are building me a rockwell 3.7 as it’s currently a 4.1 ,a bit slow you could say !

Do you reckon these older cult British make wagons stack up economically if you take out the hobby element?

ie if you priced up your hours labour at roughly what you’d be earning if you were out driving.

I’ve got a Stralis with 1.3m K on it, a Premium with 900k, Isuzu pickup with 200k, Discovery 3 with 200k, Transit with 400k. It sounds great in terms of running costs but hidden behind the intergalactic mileages, probably 80% of which we’ve put on, is an awful lot of workshop hours.

Just because we’ve got the workshop facilities/ability for repairs I do sometimes wonder if I’m really winning as much as I’d like to think. The Disco 3 needs a complete overhaul and rebuild pretty sure it doesn’t make sense and it’s not like you could take any of it to a truck show.

Err don’t know what to say really if you took out the hobby bit. I do like the fact that I know all my vehicles inside out and have many many new and second hand parts on the shelf including body panels painted ready to go now I don’t know many with newer motors that can do this ,also iam put off by modern technology and the sealed unit throw away carry on , donor carcasses are strewn across this area with rich pickings still .
Edit my sprinter has 1180000 kms on it .

Cheers guys, The boss and I are going to stop by TE on Friday 19th and have another look, hopefully the trailer will be taking shape and if so I’ll add a few more pics. Delivery to us is mid March onwards (can’t come soon enough)
It’s being kept plain white, bar the removal of the globetrotter graphic above the screen and replaced with the company logo, to go with the personal reg plate bearing firms initials. He’s also looking at a kelsa led light bar for the roof.
It’s got drive plus+ package, leather heated seats, passenger one swivels. Twin bunks, cameras on rear of unit and trailer.

not a picture but a video, the game /the real and the toy
