Great looking wagon,
I always fancied one of those(sensible money) after my 4000 series Alpha but was put off by another OD saying his 450 Cat was wild sore on juice and the 420 ■■■■■■■ being low on power for 44t bulk quarry work.
Heres two of ours
That pic was at Carlisle on the way up to Cairnryan for the Larne boat in May when we came over for the Ballymena tractor show at the football ground…kept getting in the way of all the v8 Scania’s on the A75 though!!!

Nope, Not true on the ■■■■■■■ the only problem i’ve known on the ■■■■■■■ engine from 2nd hand experience from my dad is when the turbo on it goes. I think it was the turbo anyway The only time i known my dads foden to feel extremly underpowered is when it had engine problems aka via turbo i’m sure it was the turbo
But that was on bulk tippers. To be honest i was gutted i never got to have a go at driving the foden
Can only hope one day i drive a foden when i start driving trucks
(Don’t give me the story on how i shouldn’t become a truck driver because moneys crap blah blah blah had it from just about everyone
) Keep the pictures coming!!

Nice tidy little fleet , shame about the dent in the tank on the red 95, talking of tanks i got some autosol it came up a treat thanks for that , i will add a new picture over the weekend.
Paul
those pics are outdated now, i do not have the white daf with the top and bottom bars on it, it has been sold, and replaced with a MAN TG-A XLX

I’ve always had a soft spot for ShuttleSpankers red 05 plate. A little bit of bling, without ‘spoiling’ the look of a proper working truck. Just right.
Not too keen on that blue monstrosity mind …

thanks fella
the alloys on that were swapped from a 1999 V reg truck that were fitted on from new, they are 11 years old now and are the machine finished ones, not the polished
lee mat:
did you get more for your money compared to the daf
sorry Lee, completely missed your post
for the price i paid for the truck, i can’t complain
it is fitted with the cool box, not the fridge, but everything else works as it should, it is comfortable to drive, and gets good fuel economy from the 430 engine
will see how it compares over time against the DAF though

I saw the white one for sale a few months back . did you let it go with the light bars on it ?
the top bar and the air horns went with it, but the euro bar was removed
removing the top bar would have left holes in the roof

I see that lorry quite a bit. Is it the last one Georges Haulage had?
